At SPS Car Rental, the minimum age to rent a vehicle is 23 years. Drivers must also have held a valid driver’s license for at least one year. Some vehicle categories may have higher age requirements or additional conditions, so it’s always a good idea to check when booking. Kindly note that our cars may only be used within the island of Crete.
Note: Only individuals listed on the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle and are covered by insurance.
If your driver's license is issued in a non-EU country, an international driving permit (IDP) may be required to rent a vehicle in Crete. EU residents can use their regular driver's license. Please check with us or your local authorities if you are unsure about your specific case.
We accept all national driver’s licenses issued in the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Russia. In all other cases, an international driver’s license is required.
We offer a full-to-full fuel policy. This means the car will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and we ask that you return it full as well. If the vehicle is returned without a full tank, a refueling fee will apply.

You’ll receive an email confirmation with all the details once your booking is completed. Alternatively, you can contact us directly via phone or email for assistance with reservations.
Yes, you can modify or cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time without incurring any fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pick-up may incur a cancellation fee.
Yes, the minimum rental period is 24 hours. If you need a vehicle for a shorter duration, please contact our team, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
We accept Iris payments as well as all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, Revolut. Cash payments are also accepted at our rental locations. Please note that a credit card may be required for the security deposit at the time of pick-up.
Our rental rates include insurance and taxes, but additional charges may apply for services such as GPS rental, child seats, or adding an extra driver. If you return the vehicle with less fuel than it had at pick-up, a refueling fee will also be applied. All additional costs will be clearly outlined during the booking process.
